Cosimo Damiano works primarily with photography and printmaking. Rooted in a personal search for intimacy and belonging, his practice explores how repeated practices can transform perception, deepen relationships and gradually become forms of devotion.

Through sustained encounters with gardens and landscapes, he explores ordinary practices of return — gestures through which relationships with land, seasons and materials deepen over time, gradually taking on a form of devotion.

In the studio, photographs continue this process. Images are transferred, stained, stitched and assembled, allowing material, repetition and inner change to become inseparable. The work takes form through returning: to a place, a gesture, a material, a relationship.
