Cosimo Damiano works primarily with photography and printmaking. His practice grows from a personal inquiry into how faith and devotion can be restored through disciplined attention.

From gardens to deserts, volcanoes to jungles, his work develops through extended encounters with landscapes that hold an history of human connection, reverence and dependence.

Back in the studio, the photographs continue to change through physical processes. Images are fragmented, transferred, stained, stitched and assembled, allowing material and repetition to become part of an ongoing return to relationship.
