Cosimo is an Italian-born, Mexico-based artist working across photography, printmaking, sculpture, and design. He likes doing things slowly: printing, walking, listening, collecting, exploring local materials, carving found stones, making books, arranging spaces, curating music, and building exhibitions.
Born in Catania in 1990, he moved to London at 24 where he studied Photography at the University of the Arts London, though he left before graduating. At 29, he moved to Mexico.
In his practice, Cosimo is drawn to Indigenous traditions, Eastern philosophies, and visionary thinkers who have explored how human beings build relationships with the land — and how to soften the sense of separation.
